Summary
A Bronze Age round barrow excavated by C M Piggott in 1948. It had been robbed at an early date and contained no traces of an original burial, or secondary burials. There was no evidence to date the original construction.

Full Description
D: A barrow 32 feet in diameter and 35 feet high. <1>
The area has now been developed and there is no evidence of the barrows. <3>
This round barrow (known as Kinson Barrow 1) was excavated by the Ministry of Works and directed by Mrs C M Piggott in the summer of 1948, in advance of development of the area by Bournemouth Corporation. The barrow measured 32 feet in diameter. It had been robbed and no traces of any burials were found. No dating evidence was recovered. <4>
