Full Description

Pottery fragments of Iron Age (A, B and C) found in shallow pits 1936. In Calkin Collection British Museum. Stone celt (Group VII, Snake Pass) found. <2> Area now built over. <4> The pottery includes some haematite coated wares. Stone axe listed as Group VI (Stake Pass). Now in the British Museum (1940 7-1, 608). <5>
