Summary
Bronze Age round barrow, one of two on the northern side of Warren Hill, Hengistbury Head, excavated in 1919 by Harold St George Gray. It had been mutilated by earlier, unrecorded excavations, and Gray was unable to find any trace of burials.

Excavated by H St G Gray in 1919. Unpublished. Finds (probably only a few flints) in Taunton Museum. Considered non-sepulchral. <2>
It was surveyed in 1954 and described as "A heather-covered mound. Diameter 12.0m, Ht 0.6m. No visible ditch." <3>
No change. Published 1:2500 survey correct. <4>
This round barrow is situated on the northern part of Warren Hill, Hengistbury Head, one of two adjacent barrows. It was about 12 metres in diameter and about 0.6-0.7 metres high. It was excavated as Mound G by H. St George Gray in August 1919. The excavation revealed that the barrow had been previously disturbed by early barrow diggers and very little in situ remains survived. No burials were found, nor any pottery. A quantity of flint including a probable unfinished plano-convex knife, scrapers and a borer.Barrow 11 (Gray's barrow G). <5>
