Full Description

Quantities of flint artefacts of Neolithic and Bronze Age character are recorded from the excavations on Hengistbury Head. They seem to have been spread over the whole area of the peninsula and were particularly recovered from the barrow excavations. Several hundred flints have been collected from the top of Hengistbury Head, most of them of Neolithic or Bronze Age character.
