Summary
A Romano-British burial discovered in 1960 during the widening of Lyscombe Farm drive. It comprised a fine urn with countersunk handles, containing human bones, with a small basin resting on top of the urn. The deposit was covered by a Romano-British tile.

Full Description
During the widening of Lyscombe Farm drive in 1960 a Romano-British burial was discovered at ST 73550099, about 2.0ft below the existing ground surface. It comprised a fine urn with countersunk handles, containing human bones, with a small basin resting on top of the urn. The deposit was covered by a Romano/British tile.
The find was removed to Dorchester Museum (Accession no 1963-13, 1-3) where it was dated at between 150-200 AD <1-2>
