A late Acheulian D-shaped handaxe, made from thin flake, 4.5in. long, found in 1907 about 14ft. deep in a Muscliffe terrace gravel pit, by the main road at the S.W. end of St. Catherine's Hill. <1-2>
The site is now a disused gravel pit. <3>
