A fine Lower Palaeolithic flint handaxe was found about 1967 by Mr. R.J.Adams of Selsdon, Surrey, during the construction of a car park for a new public house, the Catherine Wheel. Full description and discussion of the find. (1) (The Catherine Wheel is situated in Marlow Drive at SZ 14069525). (2)
