Summary
An excavation at Place Mill, Christchurch, revealed an undated stone revetment of rounded water-worn boulders 0.6m in diameter and at a depth of 2-3m. this appears to be a bank between the sea and the mill stream and could be medieval or later in date.

K. Jarvis conducted an excavation at Place Mill, Christchurch, The results were subsequently published as a short note in PDNHAS volume 109 (1).
A 3m deep trench revealed an undated stone revetment of rounded water-worn boulders 0.6m in diameter and at a depth of 2-3m. this appears to be a bank between the sea and the mill stream and could be medieval or later in date.
