Summary

Lodge at former entrance to Park. Probably built around 1775, to designs by Sir William Chambers. It has ashlar stone walls and low-pitched slate roofs. Each face has a round-arched window with glazing bars, flanked by smaller fixed windows, i.e. a rudimentary Venetian window. There is a single-storey twentieth century extension to the south. The section adjoining the original building of flint and stone bonding. Beyond this the walls are plastered, with concrete slate roof.
