An extensive medieval field system is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs and lidar imagery to the north of Higher Drove, Chilfrome. The lynchets and field boundaries extend over an area of 70 hectares and were digitally poltted during the Upper Frome and Sydling Valley AIM project

Full Description
[Centred at SY 57909928]. A grass covered area with a series of rather poorly defined Md. strip lynchets, parallel and regularly spaced but averaging 0.3m high. The lynchets are set in a WNW -ESE direction and are clearly visible on AP CPE/UK/1974/3386. <2>
