Summary
A World War Two type 22 pillbox located on the coast line west at West Bexington. The pillbox was constructed in 1940-41 and is of brick and reinforced concrete. A field visit in 1997 found it to be in a very good condition. Visible as an extant structure on aerial photographs and digitally plotted for the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping project.

Full Description
Type 22 pillbox, brick-walled with reinforced concrete roof. Walls 19ins thick and 7ft 6ins long. Interior empty. In very good condition within and without. Elder bush growing by entrance but not threatening fabric. <1-3>
Visible as an extant structure on aerial photographs <4> and digitally plotted for the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping project.
