Summary
The possible site of a Second World War pillbox was identified on aerial photographs taken in 1940. A World War II pillbox located close to Bind Barrow, above Burton Beach, near Bridport. It was constructed in 1940-41 and is built of reinforced concrete. A field visit in 2000 found it to be extant.

The site of a Second World War pillbox was identified on aerial photographs taken in 1948 <4> is still visible as an extant structure on the latest Google Earth imagery. The site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
