Full Description
Type 26 (variant - no rear embrasure) situated on beach with field of fire along beach E/W and out to sea. Upper surface of pillbox is pebble-dashed for camouflage. Wood-shuttered.
with PLAN drawn on form. Square pillbox, half pebble-dashed (camouflage). 7ft 6ins tall; sides 10ft long; walls 18ins thick. Constructed on concrete plinth 12ft x 12ft x 12ins (thick). Four retaining bolts on roof at front.Chesil Beach, below East Bexington Farm. <1-3>
