Summary
A World War II type 22 pillbox located to the west of Moonfleet Hotel, East Fleet. It is hexagonal on plan, constructed of brick and reinforced concrete and was constructed in 1940-41. A field visit in 1996 found the structure to be in a good condition. Visible as an extant structure on aerial photographs taken in 1942.

Full Description
Hexagonal Type 22 pillbox. The structure is visible as an extant feature on aerial photographs taken in 1946 {1} and was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
