Full Description
Check point where passes/identity cards had to be shown at Culverwell, Portland Bill Road. It was constructed in 1940-1941 and comprised a barbed wire and wood barrier. Passes and identity cards had to be shown here. The checkpoint had been demolished prior to the end of the war. A field visit in 1997 recorded no traces of the structure. <1-3>
