Summary
A World War II minefield recorded at the top end of public footpath No 68 leading from The Grove to Folly Pier, East Weare. The minefield was laid out in 1940-41 and formed part of the Isle of Portland Defences and Dorset Coast Defences. It had been cleared by 1946.

Full Description
Minefield. Four men and a borstal escapee were killed on the footpath at this point. At East Weare, at the top end of public footpath no.68 leading from The Grove to Folly Pier. <1-3>
