Site of a 90mm searchlight used during the Second World War as part of Nothe Fort defences. This structure is visible on aerial photographs of Nothe Fort and was digitally plotted as part of the Nothe Fort complex (MDO6676) during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).

Full Description
90mm searchlight, part of Nothe Fort defences. The searchlight in position today is a replica of one that was removed by a landslip [on site information at Nothe Fort]. with PLAN drawn on form. (1)
This structure is visible on aerial photographs of Nothe Fort (2-3) and was digitally plotted as part of the Nothe Fort complex (MDO6676) during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
