Sank very quickly at 3.15am. after collision with the SS KENILWORTH in dense fog in the channel. (3)
Year Built: 1897. Builder: Vickers (N.C.and A.). Where Built: Barrow-in-Furness. Engine horsepower: 5700. Propulsion: Screw driven x 2, 3 cylinder triple expansion. Armament: 1 x 12pdr.; 5 x 6pdr.; 2 x TT.
Owner: Royal Navy. Crew: 60. Date of Loss Qualifier: A.
The vessel is in two parts and was identified in 1999, position given not complete.(5)
