Full Description
`Hull 6th February: The NEW VENUS, Lord, from Liverpool to London, Ran foul of the DUKE OF YORK, bound to Bengal and China, off Portland, about half past three on Tuesday morning and went down in a few minutes. John Abbott (seaman) and William Atcraft (an apprentice) saved in a boat sent from the Duke of York. The master, mate and a boy drowned. (1) Master: Lord Date of Loss Qualifier: A
