[Hawker Hurricane Mk. I standard fighter; 1 of a batch of 496 delivered between July 1940 and January 1941 to Contract No. B62305/39] Damaged by Bf 109s and abandoned off Portland, 25.8.1940. (1) Builder: Hawker Aircraft Where built: Weybridge and Langley Delivered: 1940-1 Squadron: 17 Date of Loss Qualifier: A 17 Squadron.F/Lt A.W.Bayne. Patrol. Baled out in combat with Me 110's and Me 109's off Portland 1750.(2)
