Full Description

`On Sunday morning last during a violent gale of wind, the Norwegian brig HAABETS ANKER, Captain Balle, on her voyage from La Rochelle to Frederikstadt in ballast, was driven ashore on Portland Beach. The captain and crew...landed in safety...the masts, sails and stores of all descriptions have been saved, and the whole, together with the hull, will be sold for the benefit of the salvers and underwriters. (1) `Weymouth, Dec. 7th. The HAABETS ANKER, from Rochelle, for Frederikstadt, is on shore opposite the Ferry House, in West Bay, and expected to go to pieces. Crew saved. (3) Built: 1805 Master: Balle Construction: 1 x deck Date of Loss Qualifier: A net tonnage
