`The YOUNG DE HENLOFF CHRISTIENT HENDRICK, Dele Mella, from North Yarmouth to Leghorn, with herrings, drove on shore the 10th inst. on Portland Beach. (1) The record appears in source (2) under the variant JONGE DE HENLOFF C H, which also interprets Dele as the masters first name. The name has additionally been given in full as JONGE DE HENLOFF CHRISTIENT HENDRICK. Master: Dele Mella, Delemella Date of Loss Qualifier: A The building date for this vessel is an estimate based on an average age at wrecking of twenty years. This average is derived from those vessels wrecked on the Dorset coast whose age at wrecking is known.
