Brig ORA ET LABORA of Sandefjord, Toblassen master...came ashore about 2 o'clock this afternoon...Vessel breaking up. Terrific southerly gale raging...crew of seven saved by rocket apparatus... ashore near Chesil Cove, has broken her back, and her mainmast is gone. Portions of the cargo are washing along the beach for several miles...Vessel broke up during the night, cargo drifting seaward and along Chesil Beach. (4) Vessel went ashore opposite the railway station.
