Additional cargo was described only as `stores. (1)(5) `The PITT, Horn, a transport, is lost near St. Albans. Crew saved. (2) `The WILLIAM PITT (transport) is on shore near Poole. (3) On shore near Incomb (Encombe) west of St Oldham's (Aldhelm's) Head (5) The vessel type is given as a transport in (3), in the contemporary sense, which included the transport of ordnance and/or military stores.
