Full Description
Ship stranded in heavy gales. Lieutenant Parsons RN, coastguard, rowed out and saved the crew. In recognition of his bravery in this and a number of other cited rescues he was awarded a silver medal by the Royal Humane Society, and a gold medal from the French government.
