Full Description

The C19 sank when under tow. Survey History: 30-OCT-1956 Position 50 33.56N 002 30.09W. 08-JAN-1957 Position 50 27.40N 002 24.32W or 150 deg. 3.6 miles from Portland Bill lighthouse. 18-MAY-1965 Nothing found by close sonar search. A lighter under tow which broke away and sank in 30M of water. (4) The building date for this vessel is an estimate based on an average age at wrecking of twenty years. This average is derived from those vessels wrecked on the Dorset coast whose age at wrecking is known. Position 50 27.70N 2 24.60W taken from (5)
