`Sept.17, Weymouth: John Pocock to James Hickes. A private man o war has been cast away on that coast. (3) Stranded/Total Loss (2) Source (1) refers to the vessel as a hulk (in the 14th-17th century sense of `cargo vessel), while source (2) describes it as a warship. Date of Loss Qualifier: R
