Full Description
Tucking Mill. The mill was identified from documentary sources. The building is shown on the 1845 Bradpole Tithe Map, where it is described as 'Tucking Mill, Dairyhouse, Yard & Garden' owned by Albert Way and occupied by Richard Seymour (1).
The building is also shown on the 1890 and 1902 OS 25-inch maps where it is marked 'Tucking Mill Dairy'. (2) (3)
There is a pre-1900 photograph of the site in the Dorset County Museum. With the photograph is a note saying the mill was burnt down in 1908. (4)
