[Hawker Typhoon Mk. IB standard single-seat fighter bomber; 1 of a batch of 400 delivered between February and July 1943] Stalled and dived into sea, Studland Bay, Dorset, 13.8.1944. (1) Builder: Gloster Aircraft Where built: Hucclecote Delivered: 1943 Squadron/Unit: 266/84 Group Support Unit Date of Loss Qualifier: A Daily Record 57/44 At 19.50 hours on 13.8.44, approximately 1 ½ miles East of Old harry Rocks, Studland. Map re 141/502027 believed Typhoon. (2)
