Full Description
At the inquiry held at Sunderland, it was said that during a severe gale she developed a bad leak in the vicinity of the Casquets Rocks. Her pumps could not keep the water level down and she ran before the wind for the shelter of the St Catherine's, but became embayed in Christchurch Bay with seven feet of water in her hold. At 12 noon she was deliberately run ashore on the Hook Sand, her crew taking to their boats, being picked up by a pilot and landed at Poole. It was decided that the vessel had been un-seaworthy.
