Hawker Hurricane Mk.I standard fighter; one of a batch of 1000 delivered between November 1939 and July 1940 to Contract No.962371/38. Damaged by return fire from Do 17s and abandoned off Christchurch, Hants, 14.8.40. (1) Builder: Hawkers, Brooklands and Langley. Delivered: 1939/40. Squadron: 151 Date of Loss Qualifier: A 151 Squadron.Sgt G. Atkinson. Patrol. Baled out off Christchurch after combat with Do17's at 0700 (2)
