Full Description
Probable eighteenth sailing vessel. Items recovered from an unknown wreck off Ballard Point, Dorset: 12 x musket balls; 1 x lead sounding weight; 1 x copper spike; 1 x buckle; 1 x stone inkwell; 1 x port light; 1 x brass steam fitting; 1 x brass tap. (1) Additional reported finds include, lead sounding weight, brass pins, fragments of bronze/copper sheets. Cannon seen. Site subsequently searched and wreck not discovered, position 50 37 46N 1 55 58W, possibly incorrect. (2)
