Full Description

Roman artefacts (comprising a fourth century glass vessel and a terracotta lamp) recovered from Lake Clay Pits, Hamworthy, in 1910, now in the collection of the Bournemouth Natural Science Society. (1) The glass vessel is not mentioned elsewhere (but pottery sherds are mentioned in conjunction with the Roman lamp). This reference needs checking (P Bellamy 10/2/2012)
