Full Description

Manuscript notes left by Stukeley, some written on copies of his twenty-three Plates of Coins of British Kings, make it clear that a hoard of Danubian tetradrachms was found on Portland Bill, and that the coins passed into the hands of the Earl of Pembroke, or, in some cases, of the antiquary, John White. <1-2>
