Full Description
Wall at Timber Hill, possibly associated with nearby gun battery. (1)
Southern Command's coastal defences. Features associated with the battery are visible as structures and bare-earth features on aerial photographs taken in 1951 (2). Features include a small goup of bare earth mounds at SY 34815 93122, two rectilinear structures at SY 34873 93167 and a zigzag wall at SY 34878 93219. The site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
