Full Description
Circular Mound at Seatown. Purpose unknown. (1)
A circular mound (11m across) enclosed by an outer bank (16m across). The bank is visible as earthworks on lidar taken in 2008 (2). This is the site of a mast which is visible as an exant structure on aerial photographs taken in 1942 (3) and is presumed to be of Second World War military origin. The features were digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
