Summary
A three-sided rectilinear enclosure and additional field boundaries are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs and Lidar imagery of heathland to the west of Thornmoor House, Arne. They are considered likely to be the remains of a post medieval field system. They are located in an area noted as newly enclosed on Treswell's map of 1586.

Full Description
Field bank, south of Scotland Farm. An enclosure bank, enclosing an area on three sides. The field is shown as 'newly-enclosed' on Treswell's Map of 1586. (1)
A three-sided rectilinear enclosure and additional field boundaries are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs (2) and Lidar imagery (3) of heathland to the west of Thornmoor House, Arne. They are considered likely to be the remains of the post medieval field system described above. These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
