Full Description
Evaluation trenching noted traces of several monuments of various phases. Sub-soil features of probable Bronze Age date included ditches, gullies and post holes and a ring ditch (possibly a ploughed out barrow). A number of pits, ditches and gullies were identified, some of which were dated to and Later Bronze Age / Early & Later Iron Age / Romano-British horizons.
Pottery of probable Neolithic date was recovered, from residual contexts, though could not be associated with definite features of Neolithic date. {1}
