Earthwork ring on Sopley Common, resulting from either forestry or horticultural practices. A wide concentration of earthworks at this location are visible on 1940's aerial photographs and were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP.

Full Description

Earthwork ring on Sopley Common, resulting from either forestry or horticultural practices. (1) A wide concentration of banked and ditched earthworks and enclsoures were digitally plotted at this location during the Dorset Stour NMP (2). Some of the earthworks are already recorded as child records under MDO8813. Additional records were made for further earthworks; MDOs 39673; 39674.
