Full Description
New housing estate built 1981. Burnt debris and brick observed in roughly rectangular scoop seemed to be remains of brick kiln. Early 17th century Bankes estate map shows a brick kiln in this area and a geophysical survey as part of Poole archaeological survey PM59 showed anomalies which could be brick kilns in fields to the south.
