Full Description

Clay dump containing building demolition waste including stone, tile and brick fragments probably dating from 16th or 17th century. Deposited evenly across the area to raise the ground level. Cut by a drainage gully later infilled by another stony clay deposit tipped over area in later post-medieval period, possibly 18th century (1) Gritty, stony clay and clay silt dumps serving as successive yard make-up deposits and surfaces. Two late 17th century pottery finds (2)
