Full Description
A stone cist at the bottom of the ritual shaft in the Romano-Celtic temple at Jordan Hill, Weymouth. Warne writing in 1844 makes no mention of the cist but describes finds that are later described as coming from the cist as having undergone the "action of fire" The cist contained two urns, a sword, a spear-head, a knife, a steelyard, a bucket-handle, a crook and other iron objects.(1)
