Summary

A lime kiln recorded as ‘old limekiln’ on the Ordnance Survey maps of 1864 and 1903, though not on later maps. The date of this kiln is not known but it is most likely to be nineteenth century. The site was visited in 1992-93 by Peter Stanier, who could find no trace of the kiln structure.
