An old chalk pit marked on the first edition OS map (1). Also marked on the second edition (2). A post medieval chalk pit is visible at this location as an earthwork on Lidar imagery (3). This feature was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
