An old quarry marked on the first edition OS map (1) Also marked on the second edition map (2). A quarry is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of Newlands Warren (3). It is considered likely to be the remains of the post medieval quarry described above. This feature was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). It is not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial images available to the project.
