Chalk pit marked on the first edition OS map (1). Also marked on the second edition (2). A hollow is visible as an earthwork on Lidar imagery of Bindon Hill (3). It is considered likely this is the remains of the post medieval chalk pit described above. This feature was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
