Old chalk pit marked on the first edition Ordnance Survey map (1). Also marked on the second edition (2). A pit is visible at this location on Lidar imagery (3). It is considered likely this is the remains of the post medieval chalk pit described above. This feature was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
