An old quarry shaft marked on the first edition OS map (1) Also marked on the second edition (2) The quarry shaft described above in (1-2) is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1951. The shaft is sub-rectangular and measures approximately 8 m by 5 m. (3) This site was digitally plotted during the South west Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
