The probable post medieval gravel pit is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs of the 1940s. The pit is sub-oval in shape and measures 24 m by 14 m. (4-5) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
