A possible modern wreck site of an unidentified watercraft which may date from the Second World War, is visible as a submerged structure on aerial photographs to the east of Holton Mere. (1) The wreck measures 4.5m in length and just over 2.5m in width. The site is visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project. (2) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
